I fell in love with Antiques & Brocante and the habits of a chinner because I fell in love with a house. The house inspired so much, like ..... a dormant garden just waiting for someone to ....... push open the gates

Under a cloud of red dust......

Its not every morning you wake up and find the sun is up...........but it is not shinning through your window, as it normally does. Rather, what is waiting for you on the other side of your bedroom curtains is a blanket of red bull dust, blocking all that is familiar to us, and resembling more like one might imagin Mars.

Sydney woke this morning to the strong smell of dust, and a feeling of invasion. Those images that are often portraited in a bad sci fi film. A dust storm had worked its way east across the state of New South Wales and had blanketed Sydney completely. The normally blue and green landscape of inner sydney harbour was now just shades of red and orange, with visability just down to a couple of meters.

Yes, I live in a sunburn country yes, but what is normally reserved for inner Australia found itself amongst the city dwellers of Sydney this morning....leaving us all thinking about climate change.
